Theme decks and battle decks

Pre-built decks are balanced against each other and are the perfect way to learn. Trade decks with a friend to see a new strategy without buying a thing.

Prereleases

At a prerelease, you open booster packs from a brand-new set and build a 40-card deck on the spot, with only 4 Prize cards. It's a relaxed, social way to see new cards early.

House rules we love

  • Teaching mode: play with hands revealed while someone is learning.
  • Draft night: open packs as a group, take turns picking cards, then build.
  • Era battles: only cards from one generation or one set.

The only real rule of casual play: agree on the rules before shuffling up.
